What began as a humble farmhouse is now a delightful rural retreat, full of character and colonial Edwardian charm.
— B&B Suite One —
Suite One sleeps up to five people, and has its own entrance and verandah area, private lounge room and ensuite with shower cubicle.
The separate bedroom has a queen-size four-poster bed, plus a single bed.
For additional guests, there is also a leather fold-out couch the size of a double bed with an innerspring mattress in the lounge room.
Large double doors can separate the lounge room from the bedroom.
— B&B Suite Two —
Suite Two sleeps up to two people, with a queen-sized bed in a generously-sized bedroom.
French doors open from the bedroom onto a private verandah, perfect for greeting the day.
The room has an adjacent loungeroom and foyer restored to full Edwardian splendour.
The suite has a private bathroom ensuite off the bedroom with a shower and claw foot bath, inviting a long, languid and luxurious bathtime.
The breakfast area
Looking out across the garden through beautiful bay windows, the main breakfast area is available to guests in Suite One, and Suite Two guests if desired. It's the perfect place to linger over a delicious continental or full English breakfast, prepared in our redgum country-style kitchen. Whatever the weather, our dining area is light-filled and a great place to start the day.
A relaxing garden area adjoining the farmhouse is perfect for strolling, entertaining or unwinding with the family. For the more sporting visitor, tennis courts are nearby.
Verandahs are always a feature of Australian farms, and ours is no exception, with wide, shady verandahs that are perfect for just sitting, relaxing and watching the day go by.
Out and About
Of course our lovely farmhouse and delicious breakfast is only part of the reason to stay with us -- the other is to explore the attractions of the Great Ocean Road and its hinterland.
Butterfly Farm is a perfect base for your explorations!
